ChoCatScrubs was formed and is managed by Marge CHOquette and CATtherine Otondo.
Marge and Catherine became close friends while traveling from coast to coast representing different merchandise lines as part of the wholesale gift market circuit. Over the years they would scheme, in between waiting on customers, as to what they could do together one day (logistically a challenge in itself as Marge lives in Austin, Texas, and Catherine in Phoenix, Arizona!). Over more years than either cares to admit they investigated one product line after another looking for one they felt could help them follow their dream: Two compassionate women wishing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need - In particular to others less fortunate. One day, they met a fellow exhibitor who was designing and manufacturing a line of quality medical scrubs. A product that was new to Marge and Catherine, but, they both felt, was a product that just felt right to them.
Time was invested in researching scrubs and in 2006 they legally formed ChoCat Scrubs and met the challenge to market the line of DressAMed scrubs nation wide. That part was easy....the challenge a market to target. Tired of the gift market circuit they chose to work with medical facilities. Offering a quality product at a fair price to the men and women who work endless hours in the medical field. In large hospitals, working hand in hand with the medical administration ChoCat has offered to donate a percentage of their profits from sales to staff members back to the hospital for research and development. This also felt good!
Strength in numbers - Marge and Catherine support the work that Oprah has done in giving children an opportunity. It is their hope that their donations to charities helping children will make a difference as well.
In 2006 they kicked off ChoCat Scrubs donating scrubs to the annual Scrub Ball held in Arizona sponsored by Positive Impact. A charitable organization known for helping families in need with children facing life threatening medical problems. In March of 2007 they donated medial scrubs to all employees of a surgical wing at the Scott & White hospital where Marge had been hospitalized. ChoCats way of saying to the medical staff, " thank you"...you make a difference. In May of 2007 they heard of a special softball league in Dripping Springs, Texas. A team comprised of talented young girls in the range of 10-12 years of age. A team challenged with finding a sponsor to help them achieve their goal to travel nationwide and compete. ChoCat stepped up to the plate and financially endorsed their project and look forward to following the team to National recognition.
An affiliate program has been developed for anyone inclined to earn an xtra income. Marge and Catherine have been blessed with life surrounded by friends and family. And at this point in their lives they have a need to help others follow their dream.
